About the event
Sunshine On Leith the musical follows Davy and Ally as they return home from war and try to find normalcy. They must deal with the challenges of readjusting to everyday routines and the secrets they carry from their time abroad. The musical features songs by The Proclaimers, including “I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), “Letter from America” and “Sunshine on Leith”. The musical was originally staged at Dundee Rep in 2007 and was adapted into a 2013 film starring Jane Horrocks and Peter Mullan.
The musical is suitable for audiences aged 12 and up and contains strobe lighting, depictions of war, depictions of illness and hospitalization, and occasional strong language.
